At Hilltop Cottage Ceramics, we create small-batch pottery to be used and loved over time. Each timeless piece is made by hand with thoughtful intention, to bring warmth, light, and comfort to your daily rituals.
All studio pieces are unique and reflect the marks of the making process including wheel throwing lines and subtle differences in form and glaze finishing.
Thank you for supporting handmade ceramics and small-scale artisan work. We hope you find something you love.

Working from our cozy home studio on Vancouver Island, between the forest and the sea, shapes the rhythm of each day and our approach to balancing making family life. Studio practices are as regenerative as possible. This involves recycling clay, reusing water, and up-cycling glaze materials. The studio is situated next to towering fir trees, surrounded by gardens, and built using reclaimed wood. Future plans include installing solar panels to generate electricity when the sun is shining.

We respectfully acknowledge that the land and waters on which we live, work and play are the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Quw'utsun' peoples: Cowichan Tribes, Halalt First Nation, Stz'uminus First Nation, Ts'uubaa-asatx First Nation, Lyackson First Nation, and Penelakut Tribe. As visitors here, we respect their sovereignty, do our best to be in good relationship, and continuously learn from their traditional practices and knowledge shared from a long history of stewardship over these lands.
